DESCRIPTION:All candidates for local office are invited to ‘collaboratively’ urge residents of Wallingford to vote in the November Elections. \n\nWhat can nonprofits do at election time?  Advocacy & Education that refrains from endorsing specific candidates or parties. \nWe can inform voters about the election process\, ballot design\, and encourage voters to participate in democracy by voting. \nOrganization may educate voters on the process of voting\, include information about ballot design and explain the role and impact of elected positions on our communities. This is advocacy education not politics. \nDid you know you can under or over vote? \nUndervoting is a phenomenon that occurs when a voter does not record a vote in every office or question on a ballot. Experts believe that this can happen due to ballot fatigue\, apathy\, or even the ballot’s design. \nCan someone overvote? Yes. If their voting to support a platform it is possible to overvote in select types of elections. \nThe message this year. \nElection Day is Nov 4th\nPolls open 6 am to 8 pm \nFor your convenience\nEarly Voting\nBegins October 20th\nand ends Nov 2. \nYou can register to Vote\non the same day. \nGo to the Town Council Chambers\n1st Floor 45 S Main St\nbetween 10 am and 6 pm \nwith your identification \nVoting hours on Nov 1st and 2nd\nweekend are between\n8 am and 8 pm \nNo voting\nwill take place\non Monday\, November 3\, 2025
