Your Story Is Part of Our Nation’s Fabric May June Cancelled

April 27 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

LAST SESSION APRIL 27  If anyone is interested in sharing a story, they can send an email to reserve@wpaa.tv and use the regular producer program.

We think a great way to connect local history with the broader national commemoration is story with a shared meal. Unity means acting together, not thinking alike. U are part of the fabric of our nation whether born here or transplanted. 

There are No Remaining dates with Supper Provided.

  • April 2026: 4th Monday is April 27th ✓ This is Muslim Heritage Month. We welcome stories in the cultural tradition of ‘Hakawatis’ that featuring narrative poetry also.
  • May 2026: 4th Monday is May 25th ✓ (Memorial Day) Feature: Veterans Stories CANCELLED
  • June 2026: 4th Monday is June 22nd ✓  Advocacy stories and more CANCELLED

Americana Themes: Featuring Narrative Poetry

  • “What America means in my family…”
  • “A family story about serving our country…”
  • “How my ancestors celebrated holidays…”
  • “The American Dream in my family looked like…”

Family/Community History:

  • “The oldest story in my family is…”
  • “My grandparents/great-grandparents came here from…”
  • “This town used to be different when…”
  • “My family’s recipe/tradition came from…”

Local History Connection:

  • “The biggest change I’ve seen in this community…”
  • “An old building/place that’s no longer here…”
  • “What my street/neighborhood was like before…”

Living History:

  • “A piece of history I witnessed…”
  • “The oldest person I ever knew told me…”
  • “I remember when [historical event] happened…”
  • “My job/trade connects me to the past because…”
